Our more than 100 co-ed students range in age from eight to eighteen years old. They come from over 60 cities and towns. With support, they are working daily to overcome obstacles created by learning, behavioral, emotional and social difficulties.
- The personal challenges facing Gifford's students are diverse. They may include language-based disabilities, non-verbal disabilities, attentional and organizational issues. Additionally, their emotional issues may affect their mood, anxiety, frustration tolerance, and self-esteem, and impact their behavior and social interactions. The roots of these difficulties are in some instances environmental, and in others neurological.

We believe that every student brings her or his own strengths, and is a valued member of our school community.
