Art
Gifford has an art facility that has increased space and modern technology. The space has brought our art program to a new level. The arts are of high importance at Gifford because we recognize the significance of self-expression and the creative process in education and life. The focus of the art program changes from year to year, but might include a topic such as the study of Native American artistry. Activities vary and could include making paper from raw materials and creating pottery, masks and puppets. Students visit museums and are presented with various readings to learn about the lives, work, and styles of many famous artists and then adapt those styles` to use in their own personal art.
Drama
Our drama program offers students the opportunity to try their hand at performance and theater and combines self-expression with facilitated learning.
