Enrichment
Gifford believes in providing a rich and varied school experience for students through a wide range of enrichment activities.
Assemblies and Presentations
Each year Gifford students participate in a year-long creative arts program which brings visiting artists to the campus for theatrical, musical, and educational presentations.
Favorites have included "Amelia Earhart" presented by Historical Perspectives, Ellen Goethel's "Explore the Ocean World," the "Roots Music Collective," and "Inca Sun," a presentation of music and dance of the Andes. Students also enjoy trips to area theaters, including the Wheelock Family Theater and the Merrimack Theater and to Boston's Symphony Hall.
Off-Campus Field Trips
A regular part of Gifford's program includes off-campus field trips. These outings enable students to take full advantage of the many recreational resources in the area. Whether canoeing, mountain climbing, attending sporting events, or visiting local museums, students benefit from the chance to extend their learning in exciting ways.
Enrichment includes both indoor and outdoor activities, such as visits to theatres and music venues, recreational experiences, and more.
