While much of our time is spent on day-to-day campus life, Gifford is committed to playing a constructive role in the broader educational community. Our intern training progam and annual conferences provide opportunities for us to share innovative ideas with other professionals. Similarly, our affiliations with area colleges and universities, and agencies, such as The Brookline Center, allow for ongoing professional dialogue and sharing of resources.

Gifford's efforts also include wide-reaching collaborative relationships with public and private schools throughout Massachusetts. Gifford's involvement in the Brainstormers is perhaps the best demonstration of the school's commitment to influencing public policy in special education. Gifford's Executive Director plays a leadership role in this group of special education administrators who share a desire to improve special education services for students.
