Art

Gifford has a newly built art facility that, with its increased space and modern technology, has brought our art program to a new level. The arts are of high importance at Gifford, as we recognize the significance of self-expression and the creative process in education and life.

The focus of the art program changes from year to year, but might include a topic such as the study of Native American artistry. Activities vary and could include making paper from raw materials, creating pottery, masks and puppets.

Through visits to museums and various readings, students also learn about the lives, work, and styles of many famous artists and adapt them to use in their own personal art.

Drama Our drama program offers students the opportunity to try their hand at performance and theater, combining self-expression and facilitated learning.
