Special Education Teachers - Summer Program
We currently have openings for Summer Special Education Teacher positions for our 2026 Summer program.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience with IEP’s
- Knowledge of subject area, content and teaching methodology
- Experience teaching in special education setting
- Strengths in classroom management, collaboration, and a love of teaching
- Understanding of therapeutic milieu
- Strong communication, organization and writing skills…and the ability to have fun!
Schedule:
- June 29, 2026, through July 31, 2026
- 7:30am - 3:30pm; Monday -Thursday; Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons and activities aligned with MA Curriculum Frameworks in order to help students avoid academic and social regression
- Participate in program staff meetings; work with colleagues to develop activities and address specific students’ needs
- Supervise and engage with students at less structured times, such as earned free time, lunch, and field trips
- Complete program progress reports on schedule
- Work collaboratively with other staff to manage milieu and support the team concept
- Lead group activities with students, based on collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving and fun
- Demonstrate respect for diversity among our staff and student body and promote an atmosphere which values this diversity
