Becky DesRoches, PhD 

Becky Lloyd DesRoches, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Regis College.  Dr. DesRoches combines many interests including child/human development, music, emotion, and pedagogy to inform her teaching and presentations.  Her work in developmental psychology and education gives her a unique bio/psycho/social perspective on teaching. Courses taught at Regis over the past 5 years include Introduction to Psychology, Child Development, Human Development, Cognitive Processes, History and Systems of Psychology, Positive Psychology, History of Rock and Roll, and voice lessons as well as graduate education courses on Curricular Adaptations for Special Needs and Instructional Methods for nursing educators.   

Her training at Wesleyan University BA MA and UC Berkeley MA, PhD emphasized blending many interests, thus she continues to actively pursue her love of teaching, learning, and music. 

Becky was a founding member of Double Gammon a San Francisco based songwriting group.  Double Gammon’s debut Album garnered acclaim and the title track was placed on TV (Twilight Zone and variety shows).  Her work can be found at beckymusic.net, on Spotify, or Apple music.
