Qualifications:
- Knowledge of subject area, content, and teaching methodology
- Massachusetts ELA licensure and/or Moderate Disabilities licensure
- Experience teaching in special education setting (preferred)
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Understanding of classroom management strategies
- Strong communication, organization and writing skills
Schedule:
- 10 months/full time
- Salary and benefits, including vacation time, determined by the Executive Director
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons, activities, homework and units aligned with MA Curriculum Frameworks
- Create appropriate curriculum based assessments to measure student understanding and progress
- Differentiate instruction, lessons, assessments, and homework to meet the needs of each student consistent with their IEP
- Complete IEPs and progress reports on schedule
