The Gifford School in Weston recently hosted its annual Thanksgiving Feast, a longstanding tradition that reinforces the spirit of community and sense of belonging for Gifford students. The kitchen starts preparing food days in advance for a gathering of over 200 people, including current students and staff as well as alumni and former staff. They cook and serve more than 12 turkeys, 30 pounds of butternut squash, 40 pounds of mashed potatoes, 5 gallons of gravy, 25 pounds of green beans, and 15 gallons of stuffing. Students contribute by making tasty desserts and festive decorations. During the event, a student representative from the lower, middle, and high schools stands before the community and shares a personal expression of gratitude.
