Stephanie Holmes, Assistant Principal
Stephanie has been with Gifford since 2009. Prior to her role as Assistant Principal of the Middle School, Stephanie served as Assistant Principal of the Lower School and also taught Social Studies and English in the Middle School. Stephanie graduated from Boston College in 2007 with a degree in History and received her Masters in Special Education from Regis College in 2016.
Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
"I really enjoy seeing all the growth that takes place at Gifford - growth in our students, in the staff, in the school, and growth in myself. It’s really wonderful to work in a place where so many people (staff and students) make so much progress."
Julie Campbell, Head Teacher
Julie joined Gifford in 2018 and first worked in the Lower School Program. Prior to taking up the role of Head Teacher, Julie taught History and English in the Middle School. Julie has a Masters in Education from the University of Cambridge, UK and has worked in education in three different countries.
Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
"I love working at Gifford and being part of such a special community. Every day I feel privileged to be able to help our students find their place in the community and learn and grow both academically and socially.”
Omeche Lyell, Clinician
Omeche, also known as Meech, is a Middle School Clinician. Omeche was a clinical intern at Gifford three years ago and is back in a full time position following her degree in Social Work from Boston University. Omeche comes to us with over 10 years of working with children and families in various roles including Residential Case Manager, Youth Development Manager, and In-home Therapist.
Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
"My favorite thing about working at Gifford is knowing that I am part of a community that works to create a safe and caring environment for all. I enjoy seeing students and staff being pushed to take risks that support learning and growth."
Vicki Schenkel, Clinician
Vicki has been with Gifford as the Middle School Clinician since 2011. She has 25 plus years working with adolescents and families in a variety of different settings.
Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
"My favorite thing is the growth that we get to see in kids and families and just being with the kids and having fun. Hearing a family say “my kid is finally happy in school and has friends” is the most rewarding thing about my job."
